Arriving at Eco River Camp, tucked away by the calm waters of the Sava River near Bled, Slovenia was a lovely experience. From the moment we stepped into the camp, the warmth of the staff made us feel like part of the community.
We set up our van near glamping and tent area, surrounded by travelers either relaxing after a day of kayaking or planning their next adventure. The camp’s cleanliness was impressive, from the well-maintained communal kitchen to the spotless showers. Evenings at the fire pit created an inviting atmosphere where people could gather, share moments, or simply enjoy the calm under a sky full of stars. It’s the kind of place where stories could easily be shared with friends or strangers, sitting around the fire.
Nearby, there’s plenty to explore. Just a short trip away, Bled Castle offers stunning views, and the nearby Vintgar Gorge showcases crystal-clear waters flowing through dramatic rock formations. Lake Bohinj, hidden within Triglav National Park, is another must-see for nature lovers. For those eager to explore further, a nearby train station can conveniently connect you to other parts of Slovenia, making Eco River Camp an ideal base for adventure.
By the end of our stay, Eco River Camp had given us more than just a place to rest. It offered a deeper connection to nature and the space to unwind, leaving us with the kind of memories that linger long after leaving.
