If you are looking for a place where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings end under the stars, with intimate concerts in a beautiful setting, Šotorišče Senca is one of those places that simply has to be experienced. The campsite is located next to Most na Soči, where the emerald Soča River slows down and creates the perfect setting for a relaxing stay in nature.
This small, family-run campsite welcomes around 60 guests and keeps its warm and friendly atmosphere even during the busy summer months. The layout follows the natural terrain, so instead of long rows of identical pitches, you will find grassy spots, an upper area with one of the outdoor kitchens, plenty of natural shade and more privacy. The campsite is mainly suitable for tents and camper vans, but it is not suitable for large motorhomes. Most tent pitches are very close to the shared areas, while the higher terraces offer a little more privacy in the Senko accommodation.
Although the focus is on simple living in nature, Šotorišče Senca offers everything you need for a comfortable camping stay – sanitary facilities with hot showers, a shared kitchen and parking within the campsite.
Senca is not a typical campsite. It is a place for slow mornings with coffee, swimming in the Soča River, hiking in the surrounding hills and evenings that often last longer because of good company. Throughout the summer, the campsite also hosts a varied programme of events, including yoga sessions, meditation, concerts, workshops and special evenings that give the place a relaxed and community feel.
A big part of this atmosphere is also Bar Frnaža, a cosy outdoor bar and the social heart of the campsite, where you can stop for a refreshing drink or a local beer and enjoy the slow rhythm of the Soča Valley.
Just a short walk from the campsite, you will find Lake Most na Soči, hiking and cycling trails, and many opportunities for water activities. If you enjoy simple travel, appreciate authentic experiences and prefer a tent under the trees to a large tourist resort, then Šotorišče Senca is the perfect stop in the Soča Valley – a place where you can slow down and reconnect with nature for a few days.
