This time we were quite excited about the idea of visiting some waterfalls in the valley of the Zala river. It turned out that the idea was great, but the path was almost unmarked – we were looking for the mentioned waterfalls, but found some completely different ones. While hiking, we ran into a couple, who was also looking for a waterfall of which we all heard the rushing water but we never managed to get to it.

Instead, we found some hidden waterfalls in the middle of the hills, which are mostly reached by narrow and unmarked paths. We encountered some large rocks, dry branches and muddy areas.
At the first waterfall, which is called Pod Žlafotcem, we traditionally ate our breakfast and enjoyed it literally in the middle of nowhere. Not a single sign of civilization could be heard or seen and that was probably the most beautiful part of this hike.

Then we spent quite a bit of time to find the next waterfall, called Gora, where we also managed to soak in the ice-cold water under the shelter of the rocks. Someone once arranged a nice spot there for a private picnic, as there was a fireplace made of stones and barbecue accessories were hidden in a hole under a tree.
Tired of looking for previously mentioned waterfalls, which we did not find, we then headed back towards the starting point.
The path mostly leads through the forest and trains, the signal is very poor, and the paths are unmarked – a few times we had to make our way through the undergrowth to get to an approximately well-maintained path – probably made by deer and other forest animals.
