Truly hidden but worth visiting
A private corner on top of the waterfall
From our previous trip trying to reach all the waterfalls in the valley of Zala, this was was another attempt to visit at least one more waterfall, called Kotel (Engl: Kettle).
Driving on the main road through villages above the Cerknica county, ee managed to reach the bottom of the waterfall by our van on a maintained macadam road. After parking the van, we took about 5 min steep hike to the top of the waterfall and enjoyed the views from a different perspective.
There is a small pool on top and if you like cold baths, that’s the place to go.
There is a small brook that fills the pool, meanders through the pleasant natural environment, surrounded by grass, trees and everything looks like a small well-kept park in the middle of the forest that gives you almost a Red riding hood story vibe.
