This time we were quietly wishing for some snow to experience another winter fairy tale of Podveža, the surrounding slopes, crystalized in snowflakes, shining in the sun.
But reality and unusual weather of this year’s winter kicked in and this is what we doing over the 4 days we spent at the cottage.

The whole scenery on the road through the villages indicated this area was not spared in the pitfalls of last summer. However, life seems slowly to be putting pieces back together and with just one ray on sunshine, everything seems different.
And even though there were no signs of sunrays whatsoever, we knew that it’s going to be… well… just like home.
Arriving to the property welcomed us with just a tiny patch of snow outside the cottage and there was a basket at the doorstep, filled with homemade delicacies, such as cheese, yoghurt, butter and some delicious marmelades. Let’s not forget a package of Ana’s herbal tea that definitely is a soul comforting, most “take me back to childhood and grandma’s house” kind of tea. Usually, Ana also prepares fresh baked bread every morning, but this time we opted out.
It was a free of plans kind of vacation for us, so we stayed around the cottage, listening to the peace (it’s truly one of kind that’s worth everything), cooking a lot, enjoying coffee and cacao and we did of course took all the advantage of the private sauna.

This time, we didn’t even spend almost any time in the tiny loft area that can be an amazing reading nook or just a chillout corner, overlooking the ground food.

However, we spent quite a lot of time outside (yes, even in the rain – we even ate all of our meals outside under a tiny shelter we had with us totally not on purpose 😉
