A piece of forest to hide away

When we visited, the waterfall was almost dry – just a thin trickle sliding down the rock. It’s clearly very dependent on rainfall and season.
The approach follows a wide forest track, almost a cart road, and is easy overall. A few fallen trees lie across the path, but nothing that would slow you down much. The route runs just above the village, and through the more open sections of forest you occasionally get views down to the valley and nearby houses.
The waterfall sits above the village of Čiginj. The path isn’t well marked, but the direction is fairly obvious and finding the spot shouldn’t be a problem. After about 20 minutes of steady uphill walking, you reach a roughly 30 m high vertical wall, where a small stream usually flows.
Even with little water, the place is worth a look – mainly for the rock face itself and the quiet forest setting.
