If you’ve ever heard of Slovenia or seen it photographed, it has most surely been a photo of Lake Bled and the tiny island in the middle of it. Bled can easily be called a world-famous tourist attraction, some even consider it very romantic. A visit to the city is a classic, but we take you a little more into nature – of course 😉 And here is an excellent idea to visit.

The gorge is still a busy touristic area, but it is a natural attraction that will not leave you indifferent. Welcome to the Vintgar Gorge, a deep canyon gorge formed by the Radovna river.
The best time to visit is in summer, when the weather is warm and dry and you can get some refreshment between the walls of the canyon there. The track can be slippery after rainy days and more caution is required. Years ago, the path through Vintgar ran in both directions, but in the past few years they have arranged a circular path.
On the way through the gorge you shall be amazed by the nature’s creativity, accompanied by the river Radovna and at the end of the path, there is a wonderful waterfall to take a look at, called Šum (can be translated to “noise”, but once you see it, it might feel more like a Whisper 😉 ) You will be able to observe the Šum waterfall from the viewing platform.
