This one is a special one. We have our favourite spots and this is for sure and most honestly one of them. We might be a little biased here, but trust us on this one.

This was one of those cases, where a sponsored post kept showing up on Instagram. We’ve ignored it for quite a while (even though it was our honest dream to be able to spend a few days in a lonely but fully equipped cottage). We love off the grid, but sometimes, to fuel our batteries, this is our way of luxury. And it might become yours, too.

We made a reservation in May for a few nights. It was honestly the best booking we have ever made in order to recharge our body, mind and soul. This is a paradise on Earth.  And we keep coming back every year. Winter  snow or summer glow, you name it, we recommend this flow 🙂

Our first impressions:

Lovely cottage, placed into  the woods for peace and quiet. Amazing nature, fresh air. Kind welcome from the owner.

How our stay actually went:

The minute we came close to the cottage, we were impressed. Made from wood. A little vintage. Surrounded by tall trees, a lovely path to a bench with a view. Mountains all around. The only sound we could hear was an eagle flying by and a wind carresing the trees.

As we settled, we took time to take a look around the house. The owner told us she and her father had this idea of bringing traditional shepherd’s cabin back home from the muountains. They kept it the same size and style, with lots of old wood and handmade details. This is where vintage meets love, where cosy becomes a daily vibe.

We had a breakfast arrangment too: it was delivered just for us in the cutest basket, all home made food, warm bread, eggs from their farm, homemade jam and other delicacies. She left it on the doorstep in the morning,  not bothering us as we were comfortably enjoying our well deserved sleep. It has one bedroom, but you can enjoy a lovely reading nook if you take a ladder to climb up.

The destination is a great starting point for hiking and we did some of it too. Really lovely area if you like walking, cylcing  and exploring around. 

As we also have our winter experience there, which was upgraded by a newly built private sauna, take our word when we say this is the best possible retreat if you want to take a break from the crazy world. It’s a cuddle, carres and a kiss all in one for your soul. Winter version was a real charging our batteries time for us and we actually spent all of our booked days there…. cottage-sauna-cottage.

Overall experience:

This is still one of favourite places to go to. From A to Z, what you get there is superb. Make sure you enjoy it fully. The cottage is perfect  size for a couple. Best time to visit is from spring to autumn, but winter edition (when available) is magical. A must see.
